About Me
Hi, I am Crystal Lewis, a web developer with 15+ years of experience building clear, reliable websites.
I specialize in Webflow, WordPress, and custom CMS platforms, crafting e-commerce stores and LMS (learning management) systems that blend creative design with strong backend logic. Whether I am developing a theme switcher app, building custom templates, creating 3D React games, or integrating Stripe, AWS, and Supabase, my focus is always on seamless, functional experiences that feel effortless to use.
Lately, I have been pushing the limits of Webflow and WordPress, developing custom apps, templates, and LMS platforms, experimenting with APIs, and adding immersive 3D visuals and scroll-based animations to make websites truly interactive.
Outside of coding, I am a big fan of horror and comedy films, love cooking spicy dishes, and enjoy time with my family. I believe great digital work comes from people who care, and I care deeply about every project I build.
My Journey
2008: Started freelancing, building WordPress and Bootstrap websites, plus mobile apps with jQuery Mobile.
2013: Joined Red Urban Canada, developing WordPress sites and learning AEM for Volkswagen.
2015: Moved to DDB, working on AEM projects for Volkswagen and McDonald's, and collaborated on a Drupal tourism site for Nova Scotia.
2016-2020: Expanded into email development, coding campaigns for Stars Lottery, Kraft, and Tobacco Free Florida, integrating Mailchimp with WordPress.
2021: Returned to freelancing, coding responsive HTML emails for Gatorade and Stars Lottery, modernizing TrackDDB's WordPress site, and mentoring their front-end team.
2022-Present: Fell in love with Webflow, rebuilt my own portfolio, and migrated INSURGENCY Agency from WordPress to Webflow.
2023-2024: Worked at MRM as Content Manager, leading a team of content authors and managing AEM publishing workflows for major brand campaigns.
Today: I design and develop responsive, SEO-optimized Webflow websites and continue helping businesses improve Drupal, WordPress, Wix, and Magnolia sites while optimizing workflows, accessibility, and performance.
